 To all UP XDSAI Members and Friends, In behalf of the UP XDSAI Board and Execom Members, we are very pleased to announce a successful fudraising activity held on the evening of July 11...Harry Potter film showing at the Cinema 5 / SM Megamall. It was a fullhouse and many UP XDSAI members (locals and balikbayans), relatives and friends showed up to support the affair.
Together with the filmshowing, we bundled the corporate and individual sponsorships for our souvenir program that will come out in September 2007 during our first year anniversary. In this regard, we are appealing to all UPXDSAI members and supporters to place your corporate or individual ads till August (this time w/o the complimentary Harry Potter tickets). You may contact Aida Borlaza, Tony Fudolig, Vic Isidro, Norma Camunay or myself (Amor Rosario). We will soon update you on the financials of our fundraising activities as soon as we have reconciled all revenues and expenses and the planned activites in September. The proceeds of our fundraising activities will be used to achieve the following objectives: - Support the UPXDAI Scholarship Program starting this school year with 2 scholars. - Raise Php 1.0 million capital requirement to convert the UPXDS Association, Inc. into UPXDS Foundation (to avail of tax incentives afforded to foundations).
